About Tidy Systems Co

Free money tools and straight-talk breakdowns, built by one person.

Tidy Systems Co started as a handful of spreadsheets I built for myself to answer the questions most budgeting advice glosses over: how many months would my savings actually cover if income stopped, what a raise is really worth if I don't redirect it, whether my debt-to-income ratio is actually fine or just fine on paper.

Those spreadsheets turned into the calculators on this site — free, no signup, nothing you type is stored anywhere. If a number matters to your finances and takes more than a gut check to get right, it's a candidate for a calculator here.

The articles follow the same rule as the tools: real numbers, no vague advice, no "it depends" without an actual answer attached. I'm not a financial advisor, and nothing here is personalized advice — it's the math and the framing I wish had been easier to find when I needed it.

The free tools are funded by a handful of paid templates and guides in the shop — a budgeting spreadsheet, plus a couple of guides outside pure personal finance (wedding vendor contracts, job search). If one's useful to you, it helps keep the calculators free. If not, the calculators stay free either way.
